Hi all, This is the end result of a recent refit I did for my home studio. What you see is the back half of my bedroom which I have partitioned off to build my studio space using acoustic office partitions. The room corners have large fibreglass insulation packages wrapped in cloth to act as bass traps with a few acoustic foam panels at the wall and ceiling reflection points as well as against the windows to reduce outside road noise. Since my last video I got rid of my Pro Tools HD2 system due to frustration with the direction of Avid and uncertainty about where they were going with the software and the HD line up. Seeing the recently released HD Native I must say it was a timely move on my part getting out of the mess. Decided to move to a more songwriter friendly setup using Logic Studio as my main DAW. Got to say I have never been happier and can't believe what a step up Logic is in functional capability compared to the now buggy dinosaur that is Pro Tools. I just wish I did this changeover sooner. Some kudos has to go to the PrismSound Orpheus which replaced my Digi 192 i/o. The Orpheus is a beast of audio clarity and matches beautifully with the X-Desk which has transformed my tracking and monitoring chain and the clarity of my mixes. For anyone who doubts the X-Desk and its "sound" and it's value for money you can take it from me it definitely is worth every cent.
