How To Change an Ovation Ultra Acoustic Electric Guitar 9 Volt Battery

Touted as the next Twilight, "How To Change the Ovation Electric Acoustic Guitar Battery" has captivated audiences all around the globe and after years of campaigning by fans, is now available for free on Youtube. Without spoiling the twist ending, let's just say batteries do get changed, redemption once thought impossible is earned and the hero gets the girl. All kidding aside, if you've managed to get your hands on one of these fine instruments and discover it's no longer able to be amplified, chances are you will have to change the battery - which can be easier said than done on these older style guitars. Follow these steps: Locate the screw on the outer shell of the guitar, loosen it with a standard slot screwdriver (you can't remove it and therefore you can't lose it), loosen the strings so you can get your hand in the guitar, locate the battery compartment on the inside at the bottom, pull the battery compartment out of the sound hole carefully so you don't pull out the wires, remove the lid of the compartment by sliding it off (slide towards where the wires are attached - it can be tough to get off at first), remove the old battery and insert a new 9 volt, slide the compartment lid back on, put the battery compartment back inside the body of the guitar, try to line up the battery compartment (with the foam end DOWN) with the screw until it connects and then tighten the screw on the outside with the screwdriver (this took me 10 seconds other times I've done it but ...
