Unifire AB Anti-Pirate Water Cannon System exhibited at IMDEX Asia 2009. Unifire has created a fully automatic, non-lethal weapon for protecting ships from pirates. These cannons can be remotely controlled from a safe location (or locations) on the ship, such as the bridge, using video cameras and can be combined with foams, dyes and other chemical additives. They can also deploy pre-recorded spray patterns for automatic ship protection. Unifire's system can also work with other peripherals such as lights, cameras, valves, additives, etc. It can be complimented by other technologies, such as the Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) by American Technology Corporation, slippery foam additives, etc. Because the cannons tap into a ship's existing pumps and fire fighting water supply already aboard, the system is very economical to install, and requires very little maintenance. It can be installed, maintained and serviced at sea. For more information, see www.piratesafe.com or contact Unifire AB today.
